Another Entry

Well, I suppose I should blog again, or the Mothers (biological and in-law) will get irritable, (more my mother than Kim's) about not hearing what's going on. The Kids are back in school, Kimber had been scheduled for the Jazz Choir by mistake, as she hadn't tried out for it. (Silly girl.) She spoke with her teacher before school started, and he told her to go ahead and show up for the class and they would see if she was needed. Well, it turned out that they don't need her voice, ( they have enough people) but the teacher decided to put her to work as the sound tech for the group, so she doesn't have to drop the class, and next year she will try out. It will be good for her, I think.
ARM is doing well, though he actually has homework this year, (7th grade, eek!) and he doesn't like it, but he get it done as soon as he gets home, and that helps a lot.
I've been doing a lot of knitting and embroidery, except for the past two days. I woke up Tuesday with my thumb and forefinger of my left hand aching like crazy, and I couldn't hold a knitting needle to knit. So I've taken the last few days off, just playing computer games with mainly my right hand, and the ache has gone away. I've done some knitting today, and will do more as ARM has a dentist appt. (I believe I've mentioned how much I love going to the dentist, even if it's not for me) so I'll need it. I'm making a large felted project bag, and I've started a sweater with some Fair Isle work and a shawl collar, the first one I've ever done straight from a pattern in a magazine. We'll see how it goes. I did do my gauge swatch first, and I did get gauge, but it seems to me to be a little small. I may have to give it to Kimber.
Embroidery wise I'm working on the Cross-stitch world map that I am doing for Kim, and I have a few other projects going as well. Pictures of some of these soon, I hope.
