First of all, a word of warning. Elly (Elly's blog, see the link on the sidebar) wants to link to my blog from the Greenwood website, and I have said yes. What fiber and dyeing have to do with Faire, I'm not so sure, but I do mention it on a regular basis. I'll probably mention it a bit more often, now, so I thought I should warn everyone.
Second, I've been playing more with the dyes that Kim gave me for our anniversary. The skein around the angel's neck is silk, a 1/4 teaspoon of Sky Blue and a 1/16 teaspoon (or so) of vermilion. It's a pretty blue, much nicer than the blue one gets from kool-aid or food coloring. I currently have a batch of roving that I'd already dyed with rose petals to a shade of green (that I don't like) in a dye bath of Jet Black. I'll post a pic later in the week. I'm spinning too, some more of the ruby Merino I got from Joan for Christmas a year ago, I have a shawl in the works I'm going to need it for. I should probably post a pic of that as well.
